PayKeep (“we”, “us”) operates the website at www.paykeep.co.uk, a free UK salary and tax calculator. We are not a financial services firm and do not collect personal or financial data.

2. What Data We Collect

None. PayKeep does not collect, process, store or transmit any personal data, salary figures, or calculation results.

• No user accounts are required or created
• No salary or tax data is sent to our servers
• No forms capture personal information
• No analytics or tracking scripts run on this site
• No third-party advertising or profiling services are used

3. How the Calculator Works

All calculations are performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. When you enter a salary figure, the tax engine runs locally on your device and displays results. No data leaves your browser at any point. Closing the tab ends the session entirely.

4. Browser Storage (localStorage)

If you use the admin panel to customise tax rate thresholds, those changes are saved to your browser’s localStorage under the key paykeep_custom_rates. This data:

• Is stored only on your device, not on our servers
• Is never transmitted to PayKeep or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser’s site data
• Contains only tax rate numbers, not any personal or salary information

If you do not use the admin panel, nothing is written to localStorage.

5. Cookies

PayKeep does not set any cookies. No cookies are created or read by this website.

6. Server Logs

Like all websites, our web host may automatically log basic request information (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. This is standard server infrastructure logging and is not used for user profiling or marketing. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

PayKeep does not embed or use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or social media services. The only external resource loaded is Google Fonts (for typography), which may log a standard HTTP request from your IP address to Google’s servers. Refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or process personal data, the rights under UK GDPR (access, erasure, portability, objection) do not apply in the conventional sense — there is no data about you for us to provide, correct or delete.
